Buffalo Soliders Motorcycle Club
Believing that it was time to establish a modern progressive motorcycle club whose focus was to promote a positive image among African Americans that would be respected in the community and throughout the country, Kenneth ‘Dream Maker’ Thomas founded the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club of Chicago in October 1993.
The name Buffalo Soldiers was initially selected to pay homage to and ensure the legacy of African American military contributions in the post Civil War era.
Under the leadership of Kenneth Thomas, the new club was chartered as the Buffalo Troopers Motorcycle Club of Chicago.
The National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club was formed in 1999 with the Chicago Chapter being recognized as the mother chapter of the organization. The club has grown to over 120 chapters including in Hawaii and South Korea.
With a mission to educate people on the rich history of the 9th and 10th Cavalry of Buffalo Soldiers who served in the U.S. Army from 1866-1944, each of our Chapters proudly serve in their communities to display goodwill, and we ride our motorcycles in which is referred to as our ‘iron horse‘.
